Role:
Product design and UX/UI

Tonight is an app for parties and events. The goal was to organize discovery and ticket buying around the event types each person picks at sign-up.

Basis: the project goal. The screens on this page show the audience side, with no user research or usage metrics.

Tonight: events app

Challenge

Design an app that makes discovering and attending events easy and fun for users.

Solution

Sign-up asks which event types the person identifies with. The home screen features events with date, venue, and a favorite button. The filter combines date (today, tomorrow, this week, or a calendar) and party type, and the event page brings together date, venue, description, and the ticket button.

Results

Documented delivery: splash, sign-in, sign-up with preferences, home, filter, and event page screens, all on the audience side.

Key learnings

Date, location and event type need to support the decision before the person reaches ticket purchase.
